Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza will star in a prime TV series of their own this coming 2017.
In a preview of the show, Alden is seen drawing his dream house on a piece of paper. He then folded the paper into an airplane.
In another part of the park, Maine is preparing for a picnic.
She catches Alden's paper airplane and opens it. She said, "Nagdrawing, nagwish, magkakatotoo, ako na ang dream girl mo!"
When Alden arrived, he asks her, "Sure ka na ba diyan?"
Maine replies, "Sa 'yo ba ito? Sorry binuksan ko."
Alden responds by saying, "Okay lang, binuksan mo na rin naman ang puso ko, e."
In the series, Alden is an architect named Benjie and Maine is an environmentalist named Luningning. Benjie works for a firm that's going to build a strutuctre in Liningning's town. Will love win? Will the town be ruined by changes that's would be introduced by the firm?

Gil Cuerva, Fipino with Spanish ancestry, will portray Matteo Do in the Philippine remake of My Love from the Star, a South Korean original TV show that was also previously shown in a GMA Network timeslot.
Cuerva will be partnered with Jennylyn Mercado, who will play Steffi Cheon.
Previously, Richard Juan, Ken Chan, Lharby Policarpio, Ken Alfonso, and Jake Ejercito were also considered to the alien who landed on earth. They finally chose Gile Cuerva.
Accordingly, Alden Richards was the original choice for the role but an upcoming AlDub project (with Maine Mendoza, naturally) required the production team to make changes.

Jennylyn Mercado: My Love from the Star
Jennylyn Mercado is set to star in the Philippine version of My Love from the Star. The TV series is a Korean original shown in 2013 with Kim Soo Hyun, Park Hae Jin, and Yoo In Na as lead stars.
It is not yet known who will play the male lead although the was some buzz that Alden Richards might be the one.
